Anyone going to watch Steven Segal Lawman Series

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I figured because Segal is a fat ass now and an Aikido guy that it would fit here. Im psyched for the show and loved his old movies, Out for Justice was off the hook, stick fight with Dan Inosanto!!!

Yeah, but probably not for the reasons Steven Segal would want.

I saw a commercial for this at the movie theater. The only thing bigger than Stephen Segal's waistline is his ego....having said that it looks like entertainment gold.

When does it premiere again? We should do a weekly thread on it, TUF style but with more (an equal amount of?) lulz.

                *shudder*

I had managed to block the existence of this show from my mind, until this moment. Must go gargle with bleach, thanks.

I will watch purely for the Guilty Pleasure comedic value that I somehow see happening.

"One thought he was invincible. The other thought he could fly."

                      "so?"

*Dramatic head turn* "They were both wrong!"
I feel like you eye-bawlin' me, dawg!

The trailer for this was posted the other week, wasn't it?

Seagal had hold of this guy and was all like "Get in the car, dude" and the guy was like "fuck you, pig!".

So Seagal bounced the guy's head off the car door frame and shoved him in.

I am really fascinated by the concept of the show.

On the one hand, I don't doubt that there is an almost limitless comedy potential in this series for the reasons mentioned above. On the other hand, if he is legitimately working (even part time or for short periods) as a LEO then I give him credit. Even if you think the only reason he is doing the show is to boost his name/ego, unless the show is totally fabricated MTV style (meaning there is no real danger or he isn't really working) then he is putting himself on the line. Again, not saying the show won't be cheesy and lame, but how many other famous "tough guys" do you know who are willing to even consider doing something like this?

Maybe I'm giving him too much credit, but I don't get the sense that this is some new adventure he undertook on a whim. From what I understand he has a pretty long history of training cops. But there is a big difference between teaching compliance tactics to cops, and actually putting on the uniform and being a cop. So I guess I'd just say that even if the show is really weak, he is at least putting himself out there and that is a lot more than most people (especially "celebrities) can say.
