    A 'new' old school

    Hello everything,

My name is Jim and I'm new to this forum, though hardly to the combat world. I'm a huge fanatic of both the art and martial aspect of combat.

I've developed my own philosophical and combat system (PJJ) 2 years ago, which is based on my extensive experience with various other systems of hardcore combat (full contact)

Of course I'm here to introduce myself and not my art so that is all. Thanks for accepting me into your website.

    Welcome to Bullshido.

Out of curiosity, does GM. stand for grandmaster?
Shut the hell up and train.

This is going to be fun. I would love to hear more about the art, mainly the philosophy. Please please let GM stand for "game master".

Guys, let's be nice here in newbietown... Though I'm sure this will be solid YMAS material in no time.

Grandmaster Jim, would you mind if we discussed your art? Do you have a name for your system, a website maybe?

I'm hardly new to the martial art world however. I already hold a high rank in a great art very similar to Judo: Power Jim Jitsu (PJJ) , developed by the great grand master Jim who literally sculpted this art out of years of experience in over 35 extreme combat martial arts.
I emphasise the word ART because underneath this efficient combat system is a great philosophy: GM. Jim believes strongly in the spirit of martial arts and thus has taken it upon himself to make sure that PJJ remains outside the scope of competition. He believes that to practice this art you should only do so for spiritual reasons and not for medals. GM. Jim , however, only developed his philosophy after he himself persued the glory of competition; he has over 7 medals in national Senegal tournaments and was very successful in the international scene, but he felt cheated, he felt he had spiraled away from the true essence.

I would not mind hearing more about it. You never know what you may learn. Keep your self open to everything before you shoot it down with out any prior knowledge of it. Just my two cents.

I really do not see why competition has to lead one away from there spiritual center. If anything it should be strengthened by it. In my opinion it shows a lack of self discipline if one is so easily swayed away from there center. But that is my opinion and should be taken as such.

I can't wait for Gm.Jim to send here some pics and vids about this art.Killemall is right;without competition you cannot see who you are really. If there is no competition(rolling, kumite, sparring whatever you say) there is no proof for us to see the aliveness and effectiveness of your art.if you cant you know the rest.:bssign:

I wouldn't throw the BS flag in newbietown. You may be right, but this place is a no troll zone.

That said, I am sad that GM Jim hasn't been back to post more on his own thread.

The 'no competition' makes me suspicious, as well as the claim of 35 extreme full-contact martial arts...I'm not sure I can list 35 martial arts, let alone 35 full-contact martial arts, let alone the 'extreme' full-contact martial arts.

I only use 'extreme martial arts' to mean flashy kicks for show...

GM Jim must be having computer issues ... but then again he could be real busy training and just not have the time to enlighten us lowly ignorant meat heads .
