fencing give me more evasion and speed . fencing charge attack with body rotation (boxing) give me far more power than boxing jab . A vertical punch give you less protection but not in a fencing stance. boxer are more staticwhen they hit . fencer don't need to bounce around .when you hit in a fencing stance it's your whole body whos going to hit . Actualy I use 3 stance fencing, taichi, kick boxing and many type of footwork circle , line ,triangle . mon ami try to evolve fencing are better than many art when it come to foot work. actualy in this stance you can't hit without movingfirst wich give you the chance to retreat or put more pressure on him. when a boxer hit they they use lateral movement toclose the distance but againts a fencer who are constantly on the move when they it It's totaly useless bastard.

So have you gone down to a boxing gym and tested these theories out on a non-resisting (competent) boxer??

                As if that's any excuse.

                English is my second language.

My command of it, while imperfect, is somewhat functional.

One might recommend a "linguistard" filter, for the site, which would eliminate any inferior attempts at English before they appear on any thread.

Boxing is good for fighting but bad if you want to learn how to bake cupcakes. Conversely, cupcakes, while being delicious are bad if you want to learn how hunt big game animals. Both are bad if you want to start a Bobby Brown cover band called 'the Brown Outs'.

Since this thread more or less dissolved and since the answer was obvious from the start about how people on this site generally feel about boxing I'm going to post this high light reel of James Toney.

At 4:05 - 4:15 Toney (as a middleweight by the way, which is when he was at his best) demonstrates what I think the _un should look like. He parries a jab, shoulder rolls a right from Iran Barkley and then gives Barkley a 2-1-2 in such a relaxed and easy way that it looks effortless and he does what I assume chain punching should be. I don't know how clip just that part so here's the whole thing:

Also, let's not forget that Barkley was no push over and a former champion.

But Vieux that would eliminate most of the amusing trolls!!!

Barkley was way past his best days when he got soundly beat by Toney. I remember that fight quite well, actually.
Not that that takes away from your point in any way..
I was always frustrated by James Toney..he seemed as if he could have been so much more if he had dropped the attitiude and really worked hard at boxing instead of just floating on his natural ability and then resting on his laurels.
Anyone remember Toney-Tiberi ? There was a controversial decision.
Boxing rocks..not much else needs to be said.

It was a little before my time but according to BoxRec & wiki, Barkley had just beaten Hearns for a version of the LHW strap and then got taken apart by Toney at SMW. In either case I would love to see a young James Toney trained in the _un.

                        Wait...what did I just type?
