    Total Knee Replacement?

    BJJ on the ground MIGHT be better for you than judo actually

    obviously you probably don't want to let people kneebar that side (fuck that hurts me just thinking about it) in training.

    but YMMV

      I'm told that the half guard developed out of Gordo having a knee injury and needing to work around it. Also, I find BJJ to be pretty reliable for working around injuries, I ran a marathon and couldn't walk properly for weeks after due to the pain, but grappling wasn't a problem (beyond my inability to close guard).
