That was wow... just pure wow. I for one would love to see the look on a mugger's face when a granny just reaches down and grabs his junk when hes trying to mug her. I'd faint in that situation too. Are they saying in German that they can and will kick ass or something?

Yup, the inventor of the style, Christian Fruth (the short haired guy interviewed in the vid), said that they are using the energy of the attacker to defeat him, without putting own energy into the battle. He also claims they use highly effective attacks to nerve centers.

BTW, on his websites he also claims his system is for real defense in "street" situations, not for sports. :5geezer:

I see that Austrian TV presenters have the same unctuous, condescending delivery as their counterparts in the rest of the world.

General note; if you want to maintain credibility and dignity *never* agree to do one of these TV spots, even if they say (and they will) "it'll be good publicity for your group". As far as they're concerned, you're a "puff piece" and once they have you on tape, it's your ass ...

If you succumb to temptation and do it anyway, be warned that field producers will almost invariably come up with cutesy little jokes (like the "fight-grannies" caption, the women chasing the cameraman while revolving their fists, etc.) and do their best to persuade you to play along. It's not a good idea to let yourself be cowed.
