Wing Chun vs other MA's fitness standards

I'll bite: there are some chunners that are in good shape, but did they get that way through the chun? I doubt it. The chun people I've met (just 2) trained to punch without explosive force and without incorporating any body into it except the triceps. The stances were high and in no way challenging, and the kicking also required no athleticism (I mention this because other southern kung fu can be quite challenging in these ways). Aside from very easy looking forms training and half assed chi sao, there was very little in terms of conditioning. You could practice wing chun this way for hours with little benefit, and you'll convince yourself you've been exercising for hours, so there's no need to lift weights, go running, etc.
My question to you is this: how does your wing chun training contribute to your fitness?

How should a Wing Chun artist present themselves physically in order to gain respect commensurate with grapplers/boxers/judoka who's abilities, and ability to deliver on those abilities, is not questioned?
Oh, and Boztepe works his biceps too much. Probably to compensate for his small penis.
