Yip Man Movie: now with even less historical accuracy.

This is the first of two Yip Man movies. The production team of the original Yip Man super project split up. This one starring Donnie Yen, Ip Man, and another one, Yip Man, starring Tony Leung. Anyway, (Y)Ip Man chain punches karataka into oblivion to restore the pride of the Chinese people during the WWII occupation. I wonder if they'll have the story about him sucker punching a hooker in the stomach. Enjoy.

Is that a big rock of hashish in his pocket in the second clip, or some type of magic turd?

They look as factual as all the movies about Bruce Lee.

That was awful. He slaps a few guys about 30 times and the other guys wait for him to finish...

That's not a rock, it's science. Rewatch the clip though. He doesn't pull it out of his pocket, but rather his ass.

It's actually a fairly enjoyable film..... but yes totally historically inaccurate.

Wing Chun actually working against a resisting opponent being the biggest inaccuracy.

Prezle limbs are sooooo funny, remind me of crunchy joints in that movie after ongbak.

No one is going to make an accurate movie on a legendary figure. Seriously, I don't want to watch a sickly youth grow up, to be a skinny old man, while trying to convince me his art made him healthy.

Especially, when there are pictures all over the net of this skinny mother chucker.

Yip Man as a WC proponent.

Oh and why did these use Karate?

                        Mas Oyama as kyokushin proponent.

                        Gichin Funakoshi

What else can you do? I mean at least Karate can claim we took sickly youths and made them strong. Whether this is true (being sickly as a youth) or not.

So, they have to do the OMG skinny guy beats hard big tough guys.

I mean do you seriously want to watch 2 hours of this:

Finially a movie that shows the world the amazing adventure that was Ip Man's life. I can't wait for the part that shows him rescueing santa from the iraqis.

Bas Rutten was bullied when he was small because of ashtma and chronic skin disease.
