    Getting laid before ....

Alright, so i'm sure we've all heard the whole, "don't get laid before the tournament/fight/etc" mantra, right?

I'm not sure if there is any truth to it at all, but in the off chance that Coach Christian/Phelan were right in 8th grade as they told us to keep it in our pants before regionals, I decided to decline on an opportunity for "excercise", if you will.

So, Bullshido, is there any truth to the whole, "don't fuck before a fight" business?

It's complete bullshit. How do I know? Because we already had a thread on it, noob!

It's categorically untrue. Aggression has very little to do with short term deprivation of sex.

Well don't screw an hour before you have to compete obviously but the day before with some good nights rest should be fine.

Are you planning to schedule sweet nookie time RIGHT before your fight or something dude?

It's true. The meanest people I know have probably never had a decent roll in the hay in their lives.

Are you trying to balance things out? Start a crappy thread in Gitmo after starting one good one? What in the world makes you think this is Gitmo, rather than YMAS material, 3moose1? Ask yourself this, does this thread have anything to do with the technical side of martial arts, or is it a question that has probably been asked many times before?

Is there any reason you refuse to utilize your frontal cortex nine out of ten times when you post in Gitmo or DHS? Is there any reason you make more work for me than any other poster on this site?

Know this, every time you screw up, you get further away from DHS.
Shut the hell up and train.

Well, In theory, I had hoped for it to blossom into a scientific-esque thread, discussing such things as adrenaline and endorphins and the like.

                      *hangs head* I'm sorry, jnp.

This just in: doing it is perfectly acceptable before fighting, going to work or reading to blind children! You can't go wrong Moose!

I say, hump away, if she says you may!! And don't forget your raincoat!!

The prevailing myth that sex hurts athletic performance is as old as sports itself. Some athletes believe that it relaxes them to a point that they would not want to compete, others swear it drains vital fluids necessary for a top athlete, but is there really scientific proof to all this?

There is not. Having sex before an event should not physically hinder your athletic output or performance . In actuality it may even help athletes before an important game. The usual scenario the night before a game or competition is one filled with anxiety and insomnia. One of the most inexpensive, easiest, and beneficial ways to have a good night's rest and relax is sex, even if it is masturbation. Only persons with severe heart conditions may have a problem with sexual activity, and those people would hardly be medically fit to undertake serious athletic competition. "
