Are the chinese going the right way?

WOW, wonder what the taichi, and other traditional/sprts wushu guys think about this.

YouTube - Art of War® FC VII Highlight Reel - MMA China

I'm sure the sanda guys'l kick things off good, but how muck time will it take the bjj guys to take over? Also I dont' know anything about this FC as far as I know it's new. Will the socialism wall stop us from waching?

I was a little shocked. Sure, he changed sides quickly, but I guess even a dog can realize it has more in common with the wolf than with the shephard.

I give him the names of some BJJ schools in the area, and we go our separate ways.

Maybe they'll think "it looks a lot like all the other MMA competition out there"

Cool how they allowed kicking to the head on a downed opponent. Other than that looked like MMA to me. I didn't see much traditionalism going on there.

It's an MMA org called "Art of War" originally started by a Chinese guy in Beijing who is running a BJJ school, I think his English name may actually be Andy Wang (no not the TUF guy). They have some good fights, their rules are a combination of UFC and Pride with 3 ten minute rounds.

The only thing bad I can say about them is I have seen extremely questionable reffing when the fight involves a foreigner vs a Chinese.

                      That's the Mr.BadGuy I know and love.

also, gotta love the nationalistic Chinese fights. Like getting a bunch of muay thai schlubs to fight Liu Hailong.

I thought Thailand got to send up whomever they chose against Hailong...

That highlight sucked. Just a bunch of guy hitting each other. Hardly any rolling on the ground.

This is the way most Chinese are going, apparently:

I think the taijiquan masters, the legitimate ones are busy training and studying philosophy but if they did see that, or sanda, hell even if external kung fu masters saw that, they would be thinking: "I could beat those guys incredibly easily.
