Choreographed fighting leads to brain damage. Here's proof.

This is the gayest shit I've ever seen. I can't believe martial artist practice this shit and the guy probably thinks he can fight too.

I seems you got it backwards. Braindamage leads to choregraphed fighting and from the looks of that video, that guy was in a pretty severe accident of some kind.

That shit is deadlier than smoking. I've lived in some pretty bad neighborhoods, and that is exactly the type of shit that a majority of the people I've hung around believe in. Stand-tastic, I like to call it. They go and give the little money they have to these 1 year-black belts because though they are dirt poor, they are entrenched in the delusion that the goal in ones life is to live life by pop-culture standards. Same people who think they can just spin-kick a gun out of some robber's hand.

I can't believe they "won" with such a stunning lack of intensity. These guys can't even LARP worth a damn. They just kind of strolled through the whole thing. I wouldn't have bothered taking a routine like that to the stage in my XMAish days.

That spinning sweep to the front of the ankle against a kick in the first minute looked like a great way to really fuck up your buddy's leg too.

Yeah, they sucked. Especially way back in '98. None of that shit was practical either. I wouldn't be surprised if they practiced for like 15 minutes before showing that demo. It would be even more of a surprise if they won.

              The guy's name....

Hahahaha. Man, that is one fucking horrible coincidence.

Wait. *takes a long look a the guy's face in the video*

It can't be. Please tell me it's not.

Like pro wrestling, but less realistic.

The guy did do a pro wrestling move. I guess this is why most guys bag on kung-fu.

Jesus, I just watched it again. I can't decide whether to laugh or cry.

Maybe I'll just laugh hard enough to cry. Omega has balls for posting it, I'll give him that.

Well no... if you've watched any martial arts movie you know that choreography is very important indeed!

I just hope that "the wonder twins" isn't omega as well...

anyone else catch cung le right at the start of the video when it fades in?

                          No, I did not!

It was pretty funny, it took me about a minute in to realize who was actually in the video, since my first reaction was "Wow, crazy coincidence!" I then spent about a minute on Sherdog comparing a freeze-frame to the pictures on there and staring in disbelief.

Entertaining choreography, anyway. I have to admit I've done demos sort of like that...I'm not proud of them.

Yeah I met Cung Le once. It was at an event similar to this one. The rules for the fights were Kick punch throw, no knees, no elbows, point sparring equipment, 1 3 minute round. I won my division. Cung Le was doing an exhibition. I heard a year later that guy fought Eugene "The Wolf" Jackson and KO'd him in the 3rd round. I'm thinking bullshit. Nobody that does gay choreography like that can really fight.

Definitely. Anyone who could do that would have known to do the Bruce Lee leg-bite armbar defense in that demo.
