          The reality is that there's no surefire, foolproof knife defense, and if someone pulls a knife on you, you'll probably get stabbed.

              Um, not to get all technical, but in FMA its all the same thing... if you can do it with a single stick, you can do it with a knife.

              Besides, in my less-than-genius-opinion there is no such thing as "knife defence". The best defence against a knife is running away or killing the other guy before he kills you. As the saying goes, when a tiger meets a tiger, one dies and the other is crippled.
