Baseball pitchers accomplish no-touch knockdowns every day. Its called "chin music" among other things, perhaps BB mag can research the ki/chi energy used by pitchers who are 60' away from their opponents.

ive made many no touch knock outs.
its real simple, i hire some goons to do it for me.

its also possible to make a no touch orgasm but its not so funny unless you're a swinger.

I've been "knock down" (for lack of a better term) by a no touch knock down.

It was the most fucked up thing.

I was new to Aikido, I can't even remeber what I was doing really. My instructor had me spinning around in a circle and let off a little. When I looked up his open palm was coming towards my face.
    BAM
Next thing I know I was falling backwards on my ass without him having even touched me.
    I kid you not.
I felt pretty embarassed and stupid. Obviously (and in hindsight) it was a reaction on my part to avoid a paw in the nose but it was weird how I unconsciously threw myself backwards to avoid it. At the time I couldn't figure out why I fell back.

With regard to the first question, we don't know what actually happens when a no-touch knockout is performed. We're not suggesting toate-jitsu is supernatural or paranormal. On the contrary, we believe it's an entirely natural event. Currently we operate with a paradigm that says conciousness can manipulate energy both in robust ways ( such as physical movement) and in subtle ways (ki projection). But that could be entirely wrong.
You can't make up stuff like this...

The reason we "don't know" what actually happens when a no-touch knockout is performed is because no one who isn't a bullshit artist has ever successfully witnessed one.

I like ki projection though... these are not the bullshidokas you are looking for....

I collected MA mags with a passion during the early-mid '80s and the overall quality of Black Belt has nose-dived since then.

Go to JAMA (Journal of Asian Martial Arts) or some of the newer, more specialized magazines (Western Martial Arts Illustrated is a good example) for well-researched, professional martial arts journalism.

Somehow, I can just imagine that quote appearing in an advertisement for a magazine. There must be something good if it maintains your interest for that long.

Every now and then BB Mag has a decent article. I rescanned the same issue the NTKO article is in after reading this thread and the interview with Kelly McCann was pretty good.

I go to a busy bookstore, take BB off the shelf, read it at no charge--right price.

Filtering out the mag-spam, a typical BB scan-read is a matter of about 45 seconds, tops.

I still subscribe. Actually I ask for it for Christmas every year from my sister-in-law. Its full of lulz and sometimes useful info.
Yes, we are the target audience. Its sad that for every one of me/you, there are 10 people who believe this crap. I teach a lot of them TKD.

    Woe is me.

It says in the little bio at the end of the article...

    About the Author:
Chris Thomas has written for Black Belt for more than 25 years. He's co-written a number of books on pressure-point fighting with Black Belt Hall of Fame member George Dillman. For more information about them, visit www.blackbeltmag.com/archives/who/

I already knew he helped Dillweed write his shitty books. Thats what I found funny about the author. He has a biased opinion.
