    "Teras Kai"

A freind of mine says he's interested in the martial arts, I of course asked him what style he did, he replied "Teras Kai". Now before shitting up these wonderful forms, I googled the name and found nothing substantial, and instead of clogging up the MABS section I decided to start here. So has anyone heard of this martial art?

I think "Teras Kasi" has something to do with Star Wars and martial arts ... beyond that, no clue.

Sound a lot like a video game called Masters of Teras Kasi. Click on the link below:

Which took me a total of two seconds to find using the search function. Try using it yourself some time.

My friend, I think either he was joking or there's something even lamer out there than Bujinkan. He probably said "Teras Kasi" which is a martial art in the Star Wars universe.

Speak for yourself. I'd never heard of it or the video game before I did a search.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Alright, I'll ask my freind the name of his trainer, and try and report back.

I believe he meant Teras Kasi; which means he's full of shit, a dork, and a weasel. Teras Kasi is a fictional martial in the Star Wars novels and video games. It was made by Steve Perry, a sci fi author who does Silat in real life. He's said he based it on Silat.

So your delusional lying friend studied an art with no curriculum other than the moves Arden Lyn did in the Masters of Teras Kasi video game, which the author who made it up based on a real life crappy art; Silat.

That, or he horribly mangled the name of a real art. Either way, he's mispronouncing it. Must not have had decent training if it was real, if the teacher either couldn't pronounce it or get him to.

Maybe a bastardization of Pekiti Tersa.

It's so much more fun to think that it might be SW-Fu.

Some guy actually wrote a book on Klingon martial arts a couple of years ago, but the film studio forced him to pull it off the shelves because it was unauthorized.

Much more fun to think of surely, but hard to imagine that someone would actually put together SWfu.
Wait WTF am I talking about sounds just as possible as some of the other things I've seen thanks to this board.

I'm such a dork for knowing this, but I remember reading this a few weeks ago. It's a made up martial art style for star wars based on silat.
