Hey Phrost, can I keep him? I promise to clean up after him and feed him twice a day.
I have to warn you, I'm getting incontenent in my old age, so you will have to be changing my diapers. If you'd like to fee me, though, I'm game.

It's definetly something to consider for the future, both as a way to filter out troll-jobs and to refine the site's objectives. (In the same way the James Randi Educational Foundation recently decided to stop chasing the random noname nutjob and focus on the bigger fish of people who had an already established reputation).

That being said I'm hella proud of everyone involved, especially Mikey. Y'all are doing well to represent us. Seriously, the combination of knuckleheadedness and professionalism is crazy. Covered almost every base, maintained general courteousness and worked out the logistics perfectly. Judging by the demeanor and efficiency in which you went about everything, you could almost forget you guys were scheduling a beatdown.

So yeah that's it. It was kinda a funny troll job. Probably would'a been funnier if they reimbursed y'all but it's whatever.
After due consideration of the ACA Faux board, i think this individual has a salutary point.

Their board does make for hilarious reading though!!

No, it is fun. Especially, if you step up.

It is silly if you are trolling for dollars.

In any event, apparently it was his blog in which Senseai Al (or Mecho?) and Mikey Triangles first got into it with each other. He came into class laughing tonight saying how small a world it is that I ended up refereeing the "fight" that started on his blog post...LOL. My student is "Time is Currency" on Myspace.

    that's absolutely hilarious

Why? Because no matter what the outcome, at least people know that we will show, and not only that, but we will show on short notice and oblige them to any terms deemed necessary. This was supposed to be a BJJ investigation, but if the individual feels he wants to thump his chest and demand MMA sparring/fighting, then so be it.

Just so happened in this case, it turned out to be fake; but better to just get that over with than deal with week after week of forum-wars and hand-wringing by doing it your way and calling shenanigans from the comfort of my computer, all the while they call us cowards for not showing in person.

I agree that ACA basically showed the world that guys like us are not all talk, and we will travel to beat your fake pansy ass given remotely reasonable opportunity. I felt a little stupid at first because I had been warned, and I did ignore my gut feeling at a few instances (like when absolutely NOBODY in the area had ever heard of him), but I honestly don't feel stupid at all anymore. lol, that was like a test run, and this jackass is still trying to milk it on myspace refusing to let it die, and he's making me feel better with every lame ass post.

So whatever I was naive, and that won't happen again. I haven't been an online community member for all that long, so I was an easy sucker.

About the time when you realized that he had no school and that NO ONE had heard of him outside myspace, you should've called shenanigans.

I already suggested something similar. ACA has existed before this prank, so no it's doubtful this was an escape by a legitimate individual.
