My style field aside, quit. Unless you're willing to do some v hard sparring outside of class. Though, shouldn't you be in a year long contract by now? :)

'lol', no I just train it. Obviously _ing _un's pretty contentious here (as I gathered from my lurking), but I like it a lot - gave up kickboxing to train it. From my point of view, I admit that many people who train it suck; mainly because they don't spar. I think it works well as a MA if you're willing to do some full contact stuff outside of it, because without that, you'll never get it to work under pressure (unless you're a phenom. Or God. etc.) But eventually stuff begins to fit together. But if you continue, spar with it. Full contact. Lots.

Sorry for my noobness but i thought we didnt have full contact sparring in WT or do you mean just generally knocking people out for no reason.

If your _ing _un school does not offer (or forbids) sparring, I'd say you should look for a club that does. Even if you don't want to quit WT, you may be able to find an MMA club to bang with. If you can't find supplementary sparring that you can afford, I'd certainly recommend quitting that WT school in order to find some place that does spar.

I have only been learning it for about 4 weeks so maybe we do. I m getting the wrong idea of full contact sparring i think. :icon_scra

I would reccomend atleast some hard semi contact, but I mean hard enough to get a bloody nose and completely winded. Gloves will enable you to spar abit harder without breaking your hand or cutting someone face up. However it is key to have sparring and be able to progress to full contact.

My experience of WT is that none forbid sparring, and a number of instructors love it. As I said though, if you can't supplement your WT with full contact sparring, don't do it. If you've got friends and some MMA gloves, that'd help, but I'd recommend doing some MMA if at all possible, or muay thai or something. N.B. full contact sparring doesn't = 'knocking people out for no reason'. It = making you better, and whilst you'll probs get hit pretty good at first, especially if you just use 4weeks WT, it will drastically improve its actual effectiveness.

                          Excellent work.
