    Music and training

    Hey guys,

During some classes/traing i tend to use a bit of music on the background,it helps me keep going.
Do more people do this and if yes what kind of music?
I mean this thread just as aeasygoing one.

Examples i use: Sugar Ray-mean machine
    Metallica-So what
    Prodigy-smack my bitch up
and some trance kind off tracks for rhytm.

I also composed a funny cd with songs like rod steward-if you like my body and gunther with the ding dong song for comic relief.
I find it to work more relaxing and you end up doing more work then you intended to do.
It also takes the pressure off in a good way, mentally.

It might help to listen to better music.

We usually have music playing during classes - dance stuff mostly. It seems a bit wierd when we don't!

I personally recommend Raffi's hit album, Bananaphone.

breakbeat dj mixes during san shou class. i find a tempo of 130-140BPM is perfect for working out. hip hop is too slow, drum&bass is too fast, house is too mellow, and trance just sucks in general. most of the metal in my collection has too many breakdowns which kill the energy.

one day i made a punk rock mix cause i wanted to show one of the students how old skool punk i really am.

My former coach had a death metal cover of Eye of the Tiger. One of the many things I miss about that gym.

The Mad Capsule Markets are good for sparring and bagwork. For stickfighting drills, I actually like Latin music- Santana, Orishas, 40 Watt Hype etc.

Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring, Bananaphone.
