traditional Muay thai Chaiya training Clip

New Clip Video Of traditional Muay thai Chaiya training

    Chok Manao ( Punching lemons).

The defensive aspect of Pahuyuth training is the Pong-Pad-Pid-Perd (to block, to swipe to cover, to open). Teachers would hang lemons at about neck high. The students would have to hit the lemons with their fists, elbows and defend themselves with the defensive techniques. The students would have to be able to strike, block, attack, defend, and move in the master gesture with great agility. This training technique is considered to be most ingenious method by teachers of the old that has passed on to younger generations of Muay Chaiya practitioners.

Tae Ton Kloey (Kicking banana trees).

Kicking banana tress is one of the training techniques conceived by teachers of the old. It is to develop kicking skill. There are two ways of training by this method; kick with full power, will develop power, toughening the shins, and to maintain the sharp edge of the shins. Kicking to keep the tree trunk remain in the up right position - stand a banana tree trunk vertical to the ground and kick with either leg and keep the tree trunk remain standing up. This type of training develops speed, reflex, and correct body position.

Mae Mai Gon (Principle of main techniques).

The principle, or main techniques are the lethal and decisive techniques of aggression that have been carefully laid out. That is why Muay Chaiya is able to branch out to different sub-techniques without end. Such as Salap Fun Pla, Paksa Waek Rung, Thene Kwad Lan, Farn Look Buab, Mon Yan Luk, Pak Look Toi, Hak Nguang Aiyara, Nak Bid Hang.

Interesting clips. I was surprised by the tree climbing and impressed with the kicking against the bannana trees.

You beat me to it. The other question I have to the OP is whether he has videos of these things in action (as opposed to staged demos as seen at the end of every single clip he has presented.)

Oh, this is going to be good.

                              1. More than 100 years ago doesn't make it ancient.

                              2. What's the connection (historical, unbroken connection) between what this camp does and what training camps did a 100 years ago? What proof there is that what this camp does NOW has a verifiable, historical, continous, unbroken connection to what was done in ancient times?

                              3. How can you have senior students if you don't have training for newbies? How does someone become a senior student, then?

                              4. Do you have videos of the senior students sparring live and full speed, without pre-arranged, staged moves and forms? Do they compete and/or fight full-contact? If so, do you have video of it?
