    "House of teh! Death"

Hiya guys! Hope this is the right place to post about this. I found a website that I just had to share with you and in a way I thought it was fairly comical. Well, the main thing I found funny about it was the bizzare name this guy has for his MA school:

    "Crazy Bob's House of Death!"
http://www.crazybobshouseofdeath.ca/  Crazy Bob? House of Death? Is he some guy that got out early from a nut-house and goes around killing people with his "teh!1! deadly techniques!"? :toothy5:

I don't know anything about this guy, his school, MA training, etc.. just what I seen on his website. But I just thought it's such a hilarious MA school name, along with complete "laughing skull" logo (he even wears on his T-shirt if you watch his videos).

This is cut & paste from his BIO page:

"1st Degree Black Belt Combat Ju Jitsu
Recieved from badass former U.S. Special Forces Operative
Training with National & World Champions in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as UFC and MMA veterans.
Trained Security Personnel, members of Armed Forces and Intelligence Community..And also....
    Wait for it... Celebrities!!!
Black Belt in TKD (tai kwon do)
Doesn't count for anything but it's on the resume. "

and the following from his "About us page":

    "...
So, whether you need to choke 'em out, knock 'em out, break their bones, or kick 'em square in the nuts.. really hard.. we can show you how.
Need to take a gun, or a knife away from someone?
    Right here!
    Multiple attackers?
    Got you covered. "

    -----------

Heheh.. at least he seems honest about the TKD comment. ;)
I gotta like the "Wait for it... Celebrities!!!" addition too (though he doesn't name any).

Well, if anyone here is in the Toronto area, maybe ya wanna try and contact him for a trail class and see what the deal is and let us know your impressions?

Aside from the corny title and skull stuff, it doesn't look that terrible. It's short, to the point and doesn't seem too full of wild claims, aside from "multiple opponents. Got you covered". The videos didn't look too bad in my opinion - alot of basic submission grappling.

that place seems cool to me. I think he was just making fun of other websites that make dipshit claims like that. I'd love to train at a place with a name like "Crazy Bob's House of Death."

              From what I have heard
"Bob" goes to seminars and takes classes here and there, learns a technique and then teaches it.

Doesn't mean the tech is bad.

Doesn't mean they don't practice it alive

However given the amount of super martial art schools in the GTA you would be nuts wasting time here when you could go directly to the source and learn from better and more qualified teachers.

Come on, it's not that bad... He got me with this:

"No uptight instructors, no assholes allowed."

Besides him having no formal training and just being a UFC wannabe with a funny webpage selling classes?

KempoFist, I don't catch much TV, but the translated South Park song had me laughing hard enough to disturb my co-workers...

                          Canadian.

Yeah, good ol' Crazy Bob. He's almost an institution in the Toronto martial arts scene.

I like the link to the University of Toronto article - wherein the reporter learns the d34dly backfist technique.

Exactly! At least he's not a pretentious dickhead: he lacks training, but he's not hopeless.

                              Fucking Awesome.

Looks like a decent job adapting functional skills to a street defense context, all while savagely taking the piss out of the 2d34dly4U schtick. Our kind of muthafuckas I'd say.

Setting his clip to the tune of "Let's Fighting Love" shows you where he's really coming from.
