I've read lots of stories about how people stopped taking a "bad" MA (WC, TKD, etc.) and took a "good" one with full contact sparring (KB, BJJ, etc.).
What I'd like to know is if there is anyone who has taken a full contact/sport MA and after being in it for awhile (6 months +) decided to switch to a light or no contact one. Has anyone gone from Judo to Aikido? Muay Thai to TKD? BJJ to Wing Chun? If so, why?
I know some people take Tai Chi because injuries have prevented them from training hard and sparring. I'm especially interested in if anyone has made a specific choice to switch styles because they felt the non-Bullshido approved style was superior. Or, what ever other reason one has.
