    Another stupid question...

After being moderated in DHS I realized that the question I was asking belongs here.

My interrogative is: in tournaments how often someone will not tap even when they clearly have no chances to change the course of the match?

first, you ask your instructor. then, you do what he says.

The question doesn't belong here, it belongs in Gitmo with other stupid questions as regards grappling.

You don't have a Noobie tag, I can flame you as much as I want, even in here.

So, bitch! Fucking stop asking on the internet and go find a fucking instructor who's qualified to give you a fucking answer!

Now if you need help finding an instructor, that would be a sensible question....

No, there are stupid questions and stupid people. When you get both together...well, you have this thread.

Well, you tap. And then you ask your instructor how you defend BEFORE someone has completed their jujigatame.

          Off to gitmo with you.

First this is newbie town. Each one of you needs to lay off, which is wierd coming from me. Second Yes this belongs in Gitmo, with redundant questions. I don't find this question all that stupid considering how many different escapes that I've found over the years that even BJJ blackbelts haven't seen. Now if the guy only knows one that his instructor knows and in Judo it's not that hard to understand why, then why not ask us?

So elaborate kid, which position are we talking about and I'll give you one.

O Great Omega, with greatest respect, the blurb at the top of the forum says "Trolling the Noobs is a bannable offence". This 'person' doth not have a 'Noobie' tag, nor did he when he started the thread. Surely this makes him fair game? Otherwise people like Mr. Jones could post here and claim the same immunity for their stupidity.

Oh well, I didn't want to raise such a fuss about this...

This is not exactly about grappling either, more about what I'll call, lacking a better term, "spirit of competition".

There is a big tournament, guy has his pal in a jujigatame, he won't tap and the guy snaps his elbow. Look here for the full story:
                http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=49137

I asked my teacher, looked around a little and came to this conclusion: it couldn't have ended any other way, he had no choice but to tap. He didn't, and he got hurt.

I suppose I did a mistake when I posed that question at the start of the thread; I should have asked: in tournaments how often someone will not tap even when they clearly have no chances to change the course of the match?
I think that's more related to Newbietown tnan to Guantanamo.

I'll change the first question accordingly.

                  I'm just saying......

This doesn't even belong in this forum.
