First off, this is what goes on in Afrika. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15704030/site/newsweek/

So save us this "wisdom of the ancients" bullshit. A 40,000 year history? Elders? Whats next? The council fires? The mojo? dude this "ancient art of Afrika" song is old and tired. I will bet a nicle to a dime, that in your days you took Karate or tae kwon do just like the rest of old shits. But that was not good enogh for you was it? Bla Bla Bla...Long robes and funny round hats. If it makes you feel conected with your heritage good for you. But don't try to sell it to us. We know what it is...Tribaled up Karate or whatever.

You mention 47,000 years. Where is the proof of this? What civilization and its techniques and beliefs has lasted 47,000 years? None. Actualy RECORDED history doesnt go back that far so how can you?

        Pure speculation on your part.

Afrikan...African....the way you spell it doesnt make anything to attribute to it genuine. It makes it SEEM like you are trying to pump it up a bit, most likely because it is lacking something.

I am not perfect but I have a problem with insturctors who flaunt their habits in front of students. Young minds absorb like a dry sponge. And my God how will their lives turn out.
What fraud are you protecting them from? Some here (me included) would see you as a fraud. Be careful with your words, without telling me what criteria you use to determine "fraud".
Who says that you are in a position of "power"? You may be a role model for some kids but "power" is a strong word and a huge leap for you to make.
If you have a problem with their actions outside of their school...so what? Are you there judge? Who named you the "inquisitor"? Besides, what habits? Just because you arent a smoker (just making a point here, had to use a habit) doesnt mean you have the right to look down on them because they are.
How do you KNOW how their lives will turn out? You dont. You like to quote proverbs..

"You can lead a horse to water, but you cant MAKE him drink."

The purpose of my system has been to document the honor codes of the Afrikan warriors. No different from the Samuari Warriors. It has only been during the last 35 years that materials concerning Black History is readily available for research... Just go on the web and try to look up Afrikan martial arts.... No telling what you will get... I am on there but only as a youth crisis educator. I have though a very special library of personalized dissertations, books, pictures etc that have been graciously placed in my care.. And I have done a great deal of travel to train with humble people who just wish to keep their culture out in the universe. Even got that "jail house rock" system in my repotoire but that is a topic for another time...
Again...some here would say you prey on your students. I would say that you are using your "power" (as a MA Instructor) to preach a doctorine and spew rhetoric at a captive audience, when they are paying to learn a MA.
What scars? If your art is so d34dly then why would you even have scars? You said that it cantbe used lightly remember?
You cant compare African Tribesmen to Samurai. Thats like comparing apples to oranges...yes, they are both fruit (fighters) but thats about all they have in common.
What does Black History have to do with MA's? Your true agenda in "teaching" is coming out here.
There is no telling what we will get from a google of " Afrikan MA's" because they are made up to fill a niche in people like yourselfs psyche about their "culture". I see it as another way of fleecing your own people, by appealing to their sense of "culture"
As far as the library of whatever.... I will bet al of those books are stored here...

So you see yourself as some sort of savior? From your hobbies, MySpace page, and other posts here....I am sure that you concentrate your "efforts" on the black community. Am I correct?
The problem isnt that they have no honor...it is much more complex than that. However that topic is for sociocode not here.

What time is that? You have yet to say.
Lets take BJJ for instance. Extreme workout. (good health)
Focus on the art and learn (clear mind)

We as students are required to incorporate several levels of learning. Think of it this way... if someone was to describe a "body" would they only speak of the eyes?
How have you had to "justify" yourself? If people are constantly questioning your "system" then maybe they have a point.
Levels of learning? WHat are they?

What is ancient about it? Where is there any texts teaching it predating say....1800?

Elders? You seem to want to be something that you cannot be. You are too blinded by your rhetoric and self ascribed superiority to be open to differing ideas, much less actual FACTS.

Age does NOT mean wisdom. You tell yourself this because you are older and think that your personal beliefs of what makes you superior to others applies to all of us. It doesnt. You also realize that you have NO REAL justifiation for preaching to others, so any nugget of "respect" will do (Respect your elders) I sometimes have to work in a Convalescent Home. Those people are MUCH older than I am, yet they cant dress themselves. Should I blindly follow their advice? No.
One woman swears I am her brother. The fact that she is black and Im white , not withstanding, she is also 92. I am 34.
Should I still heed her advice?

You have gone about things here al wrong.

Here are some hints for future posting..

        1. Dont claim you art is to d34dly for alive training
        2. Dont spew fals claims about your "arts" history and age.
        3. Dont throw rhetoric about your personal beliefs at me. Facts , just facts.
        4. If you dont have FACTS, say IMO (in my opinion) butbe ready to have your IMO challenged.
        5. Get a thicker skin.
        6. Dont say that you are trying to accomplish one thing and in the course of explaining it your true purpose comes out.
        7. Pay the $20 bucks and become a supporting member.

If a person with 100 years of existance told me to jump off a cliff (knowing the ancient honor codes that I have studied in the AFrikan Sciences) - I would jump.
Does ANYONE know a 100 year old person who can help us out with this? It would be a short answer to the problem.

Don't forget that this is the same woman who claimed to have trained with mercenaries and what-not (http://www.bullshido.net/forums/show...t=48657&page=4, post 148). She's a black female Gabster minus ke?po politics plus activism. They should hook up - they'd make a great couple.

I am an Afrikan Dsicipline Science practioner for 30 years who is known as a die hard purist when it come to the Afrikan arts
                    Yet...
The Afrikan Sciences as I mentioned before are a combination of various skills just like in the Asian arts.
Perhaps die hard purist is a slight exaggeration? That's okay - it's normal for people to use exaggeration to make themselves appear more important, knowledgable, or skilled than they actually are. What other exaggerations would you like to confess to?

And, while we're on the subject:
I grapple, joint lock , manipulate pressure points.... in the Afrikan arts we do these things.... Does that mean we derided from an Asian art... Especially if the culture I represent is over 2000 older than the Asian culture?
Hey, I have an idea...I'll be a representative for judaism, the world's oldest truly monothestic religious belief system still being practiced (ignore all evidence to the contrary). That inherently makes that belief better than YOUR belief, because age makes EVERYTHING better!! <sticks out tongue>.

EDIT - And YES, you will be "derided" by all other arts. I believe the word you were looking for was "derived." I hope you don't tutor children in effective communication.

Well, she almost had me until the "I'd jump off a cliff if..." statement. Then again she had an explaination for it. English is obviously not top-notch... hmm... I'm not really sure what's going on here. Super-troll? Confused and innocent?

Whatever, I'm still new here. Not as battle hardened as the rest of you guys. I can tell this though, this person trying to fit into Bullshido.net is like trying to jam a square peg through a round something.

She was quick to let the bullshido communitry know that she is on "our side" on the other forum...she's one of those people who can't separate martial arts from philosophy and social consciousness, tries desperately to fit in so as to reaffirm her own worth, and reacts with shock when everyone doesn't smile and agree with the old lady who doesn't bother to verify facts before spouting them.

According the the bible the world is only 6,000 years old, therefore you claim yout martial art its older then the planet it was founded on according to your religion.

                            logic, FTW
