    I love Newbietown...

... because it's the place where you can get an answer to questions like this:

    what is kickjutsu?

I searched in the forums but got zip. Thanks for the help; sarcastic, corrosive criticism is welcome, too.

      kicking techniques?

though why anyone would write kick-jutsu is beyond me.

You see, this scares me a lot, because, according to my teacher, it's supposed to be the kicking attacks part in jujitsu.

Please tell me that some of you heard it called that way before...

Your teacher is either joking or deeply, deeply confused.

You're the first. You win a Helio Gracie action figure with a detachable head.

Anyway, this is my first experience with martial arts. I'll persist and try it firsthand, and if the BS level reaches drowning poing I'll quit.
Can anyone tell me a site where I can see, preferably in videos, the basic attacks of jujitsu?
                  Thanks.

Uhm... I already did that on my first post, and aside from the number of hours (two per week) the dojo seemed serious. And yes, I think that's japanese jujitsu. I asked the teacher and he told me that he follows hte rules of the World Ju Jitsu Federation.

However... I'm in my second month of training. As for the lessons: first we run for ten, fifteen minutes, doing various excercises to stretch and strenghten the legs, then push-ups and some excercises for the abdominals. After that we learn and practice falls and holds, either by replicating the teacher or by trying to apply them on an adversary, starting from a grappling position (we hold the collar and a sleeve of the opponent's gi).

We should've already started the striking techniques but we got some problems (half the students missed the first month).

                          Videos: nope.
Links: nyet. The site of the dojo is ludicrously devoid of any real information, just like every other one. This is why I came here.

Details: ask away, I'll be glad to answer. Just tell me what do you need to know: techniques, training, sparring (or lack of it), swears and curses commonly used, whatever.

2 hours a week? That's it? It better be free.

As you probably can infer, it isn't.
                              Aside from that?
