I think alot of Cung Le's kicks are pretty good, but I'm not sure how much respect you guys give him around here. :P

David Loiseau vs Charles McCarthy. I mean its a spinning back jumping kick that worked, but that's really more because of Loiseau's immense amount of skill over McCarthy.

GSP does a spinning kick. Thus at least one type of spinning kick isn't crap.

Do you do flying and spinning kicks? (yes that is a loaded question)

In short, I'd say overall the training time is split nearly equally between patterns, one steps, self defense and sparring. And a little fitness. It is a small club so generally people get the instructor's attention and are given the chance to perform to the best of what they can do. Those who are naturally gifted are encouraged to do even better; natural born fat slobs like myself - well, still motivated to move on up grade by grade.
What is most FRUSTRATING now is that the class sizes is occasionally too small. The fees is an issue in my opinion, but I also believe that a man who works hard is thoroughly entitled to make a decent living.

Thanks, MacWombat. No, I don't want to train in another system yet. My instructor is good, and there is still lots that I can learn from him. But desk job and long commute makes attending classes near impossible. Hitting a normal gym is on the agenda :)

I think meant taking up another martial art that isn't normally McDojoized. Ya know like BJJ, Judo, Sambo, Muay Thai, Kyokushin, Bondage. Or just go to an MMA gym.

Yeah, MacWombat, that's pretty much how it goes. But you're gonna have to go it alone for the rest of tonight, I'm headed out to party. :P Night.
Strumminronin, what's your excuse? I happen to know it's 1.50am where you are....

And my axe? That's the sole of my foot, baby. ;)
