    Anti Grappling

There's a video out there called Anti Grappling and Chi Gerk.
(Chi Gerk is leg sensitivity training)

You won't be surprised to hear that it's Wing Tsun. The instructor on the video is Sifu Victor Gutierrez.

Unfortunately, it is full of questionable techniques which IMO have little relevance against a trained opponent.

I will now show some images of Wing Tsun Anti Grappling vs God Awful Takedown.

Here is the beginning. It gets worse:

    Yes, this is for real:

    Sublime:

I honestly don't think that words exist which can describe my dismay at this:

Wing Tsun ultimately proves victorious over this "grappler". I don't need to show you what happens after this- it involes stamping and chain punching:

Before people say: "OMG, ANOTHER _ing _un thread", I intend to put some more still images up when I can bring myself to watch more of this video. For those of you who have not yet seen what Anti Grappling entails, hopefully this will help you see what you are making fun of.

It appears that the above only works against the world's worst takedown. However, in the interests of fairness, if there's any Wing Tsun people out there that can explain this in more detail, please go ahead.
But I make no apologies for my current position, which is: "this is BS".

Well if someone tries to take you down like that you don't really need training in "anti-grappling" to stop it.

Quite possibly the worst double leg I've ever seen...

To be properly anti-grappled, should I throw my arms into the air before falling on my face in the general direction of my opponent?

            Probably my last for today:

            Wing Tsun vs Armbar!

"Grappler" on top. Wing Tsun defences prove too much for his striking:

Wing Tsun defences = Rock Solid against even the best punches from his classy opponent:

            Grappler goes for armbar:
(Unfortunately, the camera angle is really crap)

Wing Tsun in Anti Grappling revolution. If someone arm bars you, just punch them in the balls (or is it the stomach?) (this appears to be common in WT) If only all those karate men had known:

It goes without saying that all armbars can easily be defeated with one strike to the gonads or the Centre of Chi- the Dan Tien. However, how do you finish the fight? WT revolutionises grappling again, with a technique that can only be called "The Squirm". It ends with chain punching:

As a homage to the sucide thread. Myabe this guys SHOULD kill themselves. I think TMA was an option in that poll.

Remember to go completely limp after the first punch in the chain, because that's what happens in real life.

Edit: fucking hell, even me in my utter grappling noobishness knows that arm bar attempt is fucking terrible.

Just need to add: Sifu Gutierrez is not shown in any of these clips, these are his students. The bulk of the video is him doing what looks like a seminar, and every 10 mins there's a catalogue of these things.

Only wing chun people suck enough to put both legs over the chest.

What's really sad is that in one clip, the WT guy defends against a "groundfighter". The "groundfighter" taps constantly for at least 5 seconds whilst the WT guy continues gouging his eyes and grabbing his balls.

I can only imagine that this is two fingers up to "sports fighters". Because they are so used to tapping, in da street they will tap, but the Wing Tsun Anti Grappler heeds no tap! Take that, grappling!

LOL. I just watched one where the Wing Tsun guy finished with an armbar, but because that would be Grappling and not Anti Grappling, he didn't actually apply it and instead just started kicking his opponent until he died:

Here is the victory of kicking someone in the chest until they die, instead of breaking their arm. The raised leg is doing the kicking:

And more kicking. Again, raised leg is about to kick his chest:

For those interested, you can buy this video here:

Well, after that excellent display of groundfighting and anti-grappling, how could anyone NOT want to rush out and buy this?
