I've been here over half a decade and don't think I've exchanged more than two comments with him altogether, neither unpleasant. I do not understand why every time I walk into a thread everyone else seems to be three days deep into a conversation with him specifically, and now that that conversation has been imported into my thread I have been forced to accept that I hate you all.

I see that Bullshido (the site, not the concept) used to have a Wikipedia page and doesn't any more. How did that happen, and is it worth resurrecting?

I wasn't kidding about this. It looks like the article was deleted in 2010. This was its fourth nomination, which suggests to me that a clique of Wikipedos was out to get the article.

I'm not sure how Wikipedia works. Can a deleted article be reinstated if the new article repairs the shortcomings of the old one? I'd bet the bureaucratic fucks at Wikipedia have some standard procedure for this, which they will naturally ignore in favor of whatever result they want, but that's me guessing. As you might guess, we don't think much of Wikipedia on Kiwi Farms, but a knowledgeable person might have a different opinion and better information.

There was a Bullshido Wikipedia delegate once, but he hasn't logged in under that account in over nine years. We'd probably want to find another if we're going to do this.

I couldn't find such a thread, which suggests to me that it may be in a premium area of the site. I am pretty sure such a thread exists. There are a few prominent Bullshido members who were active in the Wikipedia deletion discussion.

I appreciate the offer, but I think maybe it's better I don't. If there's any information worth sharing from that thread, and if the mods think this is worth doing, they can presumably clue me in. Better still, if a Wikipedia expert were also a paid member, they could just read the thread.

So, Wabbit, obviously I'm thinking of you when I speak of Bullies with Wikipedia experience. I believe you've posted before about being an editor there. If you have significant experience navigating the twisty passages of the Wikipedia bureaucracy, that would be even better.

I'm being up front about this because I don't want you thinking that I'm laying some sort of subtle trap. I'm being quite obvious and blatant about what I'm thinking here, and if it is a trap, it's not one I'm making. I suspect Wikipedia politics are a thicket of nonsense and self-important posers, but that idea is what keeps me from trying to get things done there. If your experience of them is different, that might make you a good candidate for this sort of thing.

Of course, if someone else wants to volunteer, that's cool too.
