Over the years I've studied a number of different arts and enjoyed most of them. I got up to brown belt in 2 styles of TKD, taught by a man who didn't teach for tournaments. I studied a style of gung fu in the 70s. I studied, briefly, Tai Chi with a master from Taiwan who was simply amazing. If I still lived in Chicago I'd be studying with him.
But that was then, this is now. I'm 66 with an unstable back (grappling is out) and erosive arthritis in my hands (reconsider some of those punching exercises, ya'll).
Y'all aren't shy with opinions and you don't tolerate bullshit, so what do you folks suggest? I quit carrying a gun when I put down the badge and I don't always have a cane. Suggestions?
