real life applicability of hip/glute attacks?

Asking this after witnessing a god awful taekwondo demo today.

Tropes of 'ass kicks you' aside, I know hip ramming is useful in throws, but I dont see any use of turning around and ramming someone with your backside for striking purposes. You might even get suplexed if you mess up. Anything involving turning your back raises my eyebrows outside of a throwing context so Im wondering what anyone else here thinks.

Especially given this was a from a 10 year old taekwondo girl

I mean, presenting is a sign of submission

So I guess the TKD demo was teaching people how to surrender

Like cats and BJJ'ers who show you their tummies? Cause they aren't really surrendering, that's bait.

yes but BJJ's often expose themselves to entice penetration, just to snatch you up in their trap.

Unlike taekwondo, which would cause an easily penetrated posture with little protection from it.

Personally I find that my BJJ must be shite because Im having a hard time getting people between my legs.

                      LOL

About 25 years ago she did take a few lessons when I was practicing TKD. Today she's planning on going to an outdoor Yoga with goats session. I've declined to join her.

Goats are nasty animals. She's probably going to get pissed on. We're not into that.
