Good luck finding someone. I planned on ordering two of them last year and they're around $600 per unit. The Stress Knives were half that, but still more than I wanted to spend on a single piece of equipment.... Also they're not allowed to ship them to Michigan so that was an additional challenge.

But majority of people dont live in the bush. In small towns everyone knows eachother so cops know who the trouble makers are, they are not going to give a normal person a hard time if they have a folder in thier pocket.

You can buy a machette sure, but unless its in a shed or a work environment its useless. Where i live, you cant have an item where its use is specifically 'self defence'.

it's not necessarily a good idea to carry one where i live, legally speaking. if you carry it in your car it's considered a weapon, so either keep it in plain sight or concealed in the trunk.

The knife laws in Australia largely target street criminals and thugs with concealable blades.. not reasonable (practical) knife or cutting tool use, such as self defense from charging wallabies, hunting, or bushwalking the Outback in general.

Hey, uhh, if anyone in Orange County, CA has some shock knives I'd love to throw down. It's been like seven years since I've done any Inosanto stuff (came packaged with the JKD Concepts) or DTS (a friend of mine showed me how to cut properly with a Barong), but I'd be down to give everyone the knife fight they're looking for and get to try out shock knives via ego-free shenanigans the process.

If you're a grappler, maybe we can throw one in while we're rolling and see how my white belt BJJ holds up with a shock knife to worry about.
