GRAPPLING ETIQUETTE: Attack after end of grapple

    Scenario:
    Friendly jiu jitsu grapple/roll
Grapple ends after mutual agreement (suggested by opponent)
    Shake hands
I allow opponent to stand up
They then stomp kick me in the ribs "as a joke"

I seen this as extremely disrespectful and unsportsmanlike in any fight (especially a light grapple with a friend)
An argument and genuine fight followed.

I'd just like to hear some other opinions on this?

    Thanks in advance guys!

Your lack of zanshin is your fault, not your opponent's.

An argument and genuine fight followed.
      Who won?

I believe that in such a case the etiquette requires that you take the proffered foot. Tuck the instep into your armpit, encircle the heel with your arm, and twist/spin inward until the knee gives a snap, crackle pop sound. Of course this all assumes that you didn't pull any dick moves during your roll, which remains heavily in question if your opponent tapped and then felt the need to stomp on you.

Sounds dickish. Was it a pretend kick, or an actually painful attack? The first is kinda childish, the second is a pure dick move.

Was it a grown adult doing this?

I think you guys are gals are taking this story too seriously. It is pretty obvious it is a fabricated projection. Let's look at this:

Complete ignorance of vocabulary and details which show first hand knowledge.

              Shake hands
I allow opponent to stand up
They then stomp kick me in the ribs "as a joke"
Implies a tap or superior position which could not be overcome or transitioned out of, but a childish and literally emotionally retarded reaction from the person who is supposedly more experienced.

I seen this as extremely disrespectful and unsportsmanlike in any fight (especially a light grapple with a friend)

Followed by a completely transparent glossing over of the details of the most important parts. I personally think the physical conflict is not described because OP has no clue how a JJ practitioner would actually fight or even say during a student conflict in a BJJ school.
I'd just like to hear some other opinions on this?
You are completely full of shit.
If any bit of it is true and you don't have a police report filed you are a fucking idiot, even stupider than if it was all lies.

              Thanks in advance guys!
              YOU'RE WELCOME HAVE A GREATDAY!!!!

I forgot to mention my post above is of course all based on the premise that the grapples happened in a proper training environment. If it happened in a backyard or garage then LOL you deserve what you got, you fucking twit. All of ya'll involved, breach of etiquette and social norms and local laws be damned.

You pay for proper instruction to receive proper instruction. If you are "training UFC" with other clueless fuckwits you deserved it.

                (edit)
Oh! and moved from GenBS to YMAS.

I once won a friendly grappling match and the guy I won shot my 22 times the day after this

French movie "22 bullets" basically stole this story from my life but they just forgot about the grappling theme (which is a kind of shame, eventhough the movie was pretty accurate otherwise)

If it was a genuine fight and not an actual grapple/roll, then id say the op should be thankful hes not in a worse condition.
