Can someone please explain what this is?

I just saw this on the BSMA page on FB, and I do not recognise it as any form of Karate I have seen.....

I'm not an expert on this, but I think there's this competition kata thing at karate tournaments, which is usually filled with 'tricking' or gymnastics based acrobatic tricks. In this case it was just a lot of wide eyed yelling but... kids these days, what can you do?

I did a quick youtube search and came up with a better example:

Not gonna win any fights, but in terms of athletic talent that kid is damned impressive.

It's a combination kata of Kenpo, Mantis-style kung-fu, and megaphone-fu (also known as birthing labor).
Consider for a moment that there is no meme about brown-haired, brown-eyed step children.

I'd say she's working on all-natural birthing or perhaps some sort of MA based constipation cure...

I don't know, all that yelling has to be a great way to release all that pent up stress

I dont know whats more embarassing, the chick making the noise or the people supporting her. Her facial expressions and noises makes me think of things that are not martial arts lol

It's a kata from Shuri-Ryu, called Go Pei Sho, which has been exaggerated for competition. Everyone in that competition circuit screams like that, too. She's probably a very serious karateka--most Shuri-Ryu people that I've met are--but this kind of thing just looks ridiculous.
