I mean shit, one new guy hit down vote instead of upvote on accident and Dale tore him a new asshole right than and there. I mean the dude even apologized and shit. And now he doesn't post anymore. And the community continues to get increasingly barren.

I don't know what happened to Dale. He used to be like a cross between a sweet hippie uncle and a teddy bear that breaks bricks and makes jow. He had a warm open invitation to all seekers of dank ass tea parties and the real kung fu. (Iirc he still does)
But the tone of YMAS is so acrid. The people who rive here develop a rather bitting style of quip.
I would like to say Dale is one of then coolest, most genuine and most generous members here. You just gotta talk to him like a man and not like a troll.
I see how newcomers could be alienated. The rules are kind of opaque to a first timer and the culture can be antagonistic. Jhmo, I don't think a change of rules or culture would be good for Bullshido at all but perhaps a gentler aproach to newbies would help?
Maybe spend more time bringing them into the fold an explaining things then gleefully tearing them apart when they cross a line they didn't know was there.
Just a thought...

The term I used the other day is "culture density"
Bullshido has a culture density problem. It is a old, and due to the referential depth of interacting with an iceburg of culture, turning into a little bit of an ol boys club.
