I'd like to hear from Jordan, as he I think we an all agree is an expert at "leg locks". Everybody else, including Rabbit, is just "theorycrafting".

I did nothing according to who....YOU??? THEM??? Wow, now your lying has truly become institutionalized.

I can tell you didn't even watch the video. I obviously threw punches and kicks in the fight, some of which landed. You can even hear them land on the video. Granted, the ones that hit me were louder...

Obviously there was a shitload of clinching involved, and a lot of near throws off the platform.

I was thrown cleanly (on the platform) only once, and the other throw I maintained some control and brought him down with me, which saves points. My ukemi wasn't that bad, I didn't get hurt from any of that.

But obviously since to you that counts as "NOTHING", your entire opinion means ...NOTHING!

You did know I scored points for some strikes and taking him down with me, right? And that when the ref stopped the fight due to my cut eye, we were still clinched and I had some arm control.

Did you even watch the other fights, where people got KTFO? So, why doesn't that count as something positive I did...walking away from a lei tai match on my own accord.

No, I doubt you know the first thing about what we're discussing.

I've been training with qualified instructors for YEARS. Hung ga, BJJ, MT, boxing. But you don't seem to grasp the difference between training and preparing for competition, but we both know why that is..

So, NOW that I know you haven't really watched the video and are parroting comments from others...the only reason you just mentioned the "judo throw" that is because I commented on it, about missing the seoinage attempt when I had him near the edge.

Maybe I could have pulled that off on other people, but not that day, and not with him. But you talk like I've never thrown anyone, and we know why. You're being ignorant.

So yeah, no I was not "completely fucking lost" LOL what a fucking lie and not even funny. Just a stupid unqualified opinion. You'd probably get tossed like a salad.

Yes or no question: are you Doofaloofa or like, just his distant cousin.

If that's an offer to have me mount you and make you cry uncle, and post it here, accepted.

        Cheers
There's a whole thread on this subject in the CMA forum. My video is not posted there (the link to all 60+ videos is).

Knock yourself out, but once again, trying to troll me or convince me my training is substandard to anyone's here...don't make me laugh, bro.

You'll notice practically no one here ever posts video of their comp, but that won't stop them from trying to shitpile on mine.

Do you think I was not prepared for that, win or lose? Come on, you guys should know me better than that by now..

Whatever. I'm always down to roll. With anyone. Not claiming that I will win mind you, but I am always up to give it a shot and show that I am willing to get on the mat.

The difference should be minute and subtle.
Competition specific things don't have to be part of every class but the core of what you do should be able to be used in competition.

Prepping for competition gets pretty damned specific, in Judo at least.

Of the core of what one does will be used in competition, if you mean fundamentals and core techniques/sequences.

I disagree that the difference is minute and subtle, though. Training cycles definitely change for (serious) competition training. Much more emphasis is placed on strategy and the tactics to implement it, situational drilling, etc etc.

Yes, if only we had a dedicated forum where members could post footage from their competition matches. If only...

How is this not normal training?

I agree but it's also a matter of volume and consistency. It's been a couple years since I trained more than 4x a week with others. And, I've never had a chance to spar with anyone larger than myself in a San Shou or lei tai type format.

Like I keep saying, it gets harder to find your size opponent when you're my size. I had to sacrifice myself on the Lei Tai to get access to it. I get plenty of BJJ practice with my size, but not other places. That's held me back a bit I guess.

I wasn't consistently training for the year leading up. I didn't even decide to really commit until it was Spring already.

It's funny how much training I've packed into the last 6 years, but because my skills were not sufficient to defeat "The better man", some people here want to turn that into negative shit.

I didn't think that's what BS.net was all about, attacking the people who DO train alive and who DO train realistically, just because they didn't train enough for something.

I had to choose not to attend and train for next year (my last chance), or give it a shot this year with the prep I had.

I chose wisely. There is no delusion.

Bullshido needs a platform for crowdsourcing gong saus. We could call it Punchstarter. I'll volunteer to administrate it. No pay required, I'll just keep all the funds from any fight that falls through. :trollface.jpg:

You get attacked because you talk/act like the last 6 years of training have been consistent, constant and competitive.
Truth is unless the training is consistent it doesn't mean much.
Its like the guy thats a blue belt for 10 years using the fact he has been training for 10 years to act like he knows something more than he does know. Hes a blue belt plain and simple.
Look I get it, I have been training BJJ for a long time but also because its not nearly as consistent as I would like I still suck ass. Hopefully this current go around last longer but its not looking likely since the situation has already changed dramatically, I moved where I am working and the guys gym is moving. So looks like I am back to training weekends only or changing gyms yet a fucking again.

You should also keep all rights to any sort of video, then you could release DVDs.

Fuck, I posted a video of me getting raped for 30sec by a Sambo practitioner from somewhere in Eastern Europe. If anyone here has posted a more humiliating comp video I would be fairly surprised.

Yes and with the exception of yourself, no one here posts there or contributes to it.

I didn't post it there because a) hey I'm kind of shy about being on camera, and b) I figured the honest criticism would come from folks that sought it out on Youtube, and that's all I care about.

I knew full well who would provide negative criticism, and who would toady them, and as usual, I was only a few percent off in accuracy.

Still not convinced I should post it there, based on what some of the paint chip chewing folks are saying in this thread.

Why would anyone post their comp video on a POS site that did that sort of thing? What, did we run out of dead Chun and Ninja ground fighting videos?
