I'm basically still fuming over yesterday's encounter. Dude showed up at the dojo with a two inch long thumb nail that he claims he has so he can stab people and gouge out eyes because he cross trains in the booj. I couldn't call him out because he also has a black belt in Kyokushin/Shotokan. I only found out about the nail after he punched me in the face several times during a light spar. I'll be back training BJJ once college starts. Currently doing Kyokushin because I can't afford the local BJJ gym ($200 a month is a no) and the Judo places are too far away for me to make it more than once a week.

Lmao. The people at your gym allowed him to train with 2 inch nail? Please find a better place to train.

I compete in bjj, and I may have a knockdown karate tournament coming up (not committed yet because I literally started college yesterday). On top of that, I've made it clear that I am always down to roll with anyone, even if I know I won't do much or look good. I am many things, and some of them aren't that great. A coward isn't one of them though.

Fingernails are a great way to tell if someone trains with contact regularly or not.

I'll bet that Ninja LARPers will on average sport nails longer than 1.0mm. Just a hunch.

He was starting to grow out his other thumbnail, but the rest were clipped short. As I've said before, his striking skills are not in question.

Did you even read the OP? He wants to cleanse his city of ninjas. Give me a break. I could go after every aikido guy that wanders into my judo gym and try my best to make them tap but thats pathetic. You can swear and act tough and tell me to 'shut the fuck up' (as if you have some way of making me anyway.. *rolls eyes), but I am entitled to my opinion and i am of the opinion that ghost is being a idiot and has obviously not learnt humility and grace and maturity from martial arts in the way he should have. A mature intelligent accomplished grappler would never make such a pathetic and immature thread. If you don't like that opinion, too fuckin bad. Your problem, not mine.
