The loss of "Street Virginity" is often painful and bloody...

I did light sparring with a Bunjinkaner a couple of years ago and it did end with my putting a RNC on him. So it has been, and so it must be.

Man I only have one ninja story and its pretty mild.
He came into the BJJ Gym I was at the time.
I rolled with him, and he said something after words to the effect that he would just go ahead and use xyz pressure points on me in the "street".
So I had him demo-straight, well guess what xyz pressure points didn't work.
He was a bit upset at this.

I had a visiting ninjer one night when we had open mat night, he was polite and all, but just had that chip on his shoulder. He asked me to spar with him so we could 'exchange techniques' and you know, 'learn from one another'. I agreed and he assured me that he would water it down so that I wouldn't get hurt and I told him that I appreciated that.

I leg kicked him about three times right off the bat and he told me that in the booj, they don't do that and it is considered fighting dirty. He stayed at my range and I kicked him in the chest and shoved him off the mat. He kept it together and asked me what that was and I merely said "teep" and motioned him back onto the mat. He came at me with a flurry and I was having a hard time with him. I finally had to let him gas-out and then asked what his problem was.

Apparently, where he comes from, 'teep' is some kind of fucking insult and means Trailer-park redneck. This is a true story and it is exactly why I don't fight ninjers any more.

So basically he was offended by good fundamental technique? Sounds like a ninja alright!

Yep the two deadly to spar, street vs sport, yah yah yah, people, think leg kicks are
"dirty" but they will eye gouge you kick you in the nuts, and then fish hook you to death.

I'm convinced that pretty much all ninjas are a few crayons short of a full box. I've yet to meet one that didn't give off some seriously weird vibes. I think a lack of basic logical reasoning capability is pretty much a requirement.

Wait, wait: you're doing KK but you couldn't tell / fail to notice if he was KK or shotokan? lolwut?

Dude showed up wearing a bb. He then told me he had been doing shotokan for a long time. I didn't know if he was also rankednin kyokushin. Now I know that he isn't.

I suspected that he wasn't a kyokushin guy from that, but we didn't really spar, and I don't feel like I know enough to be sure.

Ghost is new and KK has a fair amount in common with Shotokan because Oyama trained under Funakoshi.
They are a lot more sideways than we tend to be, though.

I thought true ninjers didn't cross train. That raises two questions(pardon my ignorance) Why can't they cross train if Hatsumi himself had Judo and Karate dans?

Second, why the hell is BJJ so expensive over there?!

Because they believe Hatsumi is teaching them a complete style and they don't want to water it down with non-street lethal arts.

Because BJJ instructors in the states tend to do that as their full time job, where many other schools use part time instructors that teach as a hobby. Full-time instructors with health benefits cost $$.

Ninjas are weird. Id like to try a class for shits and giggles. The closest ninjutsu is about 10 minutes away but their website says that I have to call them to get the exact location and that in order to access the class in their location 10 minutes away from me i have to take a free class in their location downtown which is one hour and a half away from me..
