His martial arts resume seems a bit inflated to me. What is 'Kenpo Street Combat'? I didn't know you could earn a dan ranking specifically in stick and knife fighting.

I mean the guy has 12 black belts...8 1st dan ranks and 4 4th-9th dan ranks. I mean, I guess it's not impossible but...I dunno. That sends up a red flag plus there's his association with the VKA.

Hi guys, I am no superhero or anything and I am no seal or delta force. But I am a real guy and I have been training consistently in the martial arts since I joined the Navy in 1981. I have served in the Navy, Air Force and Army. In the Navy I was a Seabee, in the Air Force I was a special agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, where I did undecover, protective services, and counter intelligence work. I was also in Army Intelligence and Army CID. Following the Military, I was a special agent for the DIA protective services division where I was their first National Training Director and Acting Deputy Chief for the Protective Services division. After that I was a special agent for several agencies. For the AFOSI and two agencies I was the National Firearms and Defensive Tactics Program Manager or Director. I was an Instructor at the AFOSI Academy and I am a FLETC trained firearms instructor. In these roles I have undergone extensive training and gained extensive real world experiences. In addition, I have really earned 8 college degrees and about 10 certifications as a cyber security expert.

I would argue that my experiences have given me much more experience and exposure than the typical bullshido member. I will put my background up against anyone on this site and also, I have NO problem with any verifying my lineage although I have absolutely nothing to prove to anyone here.

Someone mentioned I have "moved on to real estate." Well like most of you I hope, that is just one of the many things I do to make money. I am also a college professor at the University of Maryland and at the Virginia University of Science and Technology and have taught at other schools for many years. If you check the Internet Movie Database, you will see I have acted in movies and television, and if you check my site, you will see that I have been on the news mutltiple times, written books, get paid for doing webinars, writing white papers, etc.

I am no fraud, take a look for yourself. As I stated, I am not a super hero or anything like that, but I am very proud of my accomplishments and they are real. Many people judge me while they sit on their couches and do nothing but criticize. I still train in BJJ, Krav Mag, and Pekiti Tersia knife fighting 3 days a week at 53 years old. If you ever want to talk, I am here to do so.

One thing, I have broken away from VKA as I came to realize this guy is a complete fraud and I have discarded any credentials I have received from him. However, I have trained with Pelligrini, Vunak, and many others during my 36 years of martial arts training. I personally trained and promoted to black belt David Rivas, a vice president and Master Instructor of Combat Hapkido.

Derek: I don't doubt your service but the whole 'bone crunching' sales pitch in the original link is pretty cringy and doesn't really hold water on a site like this where RBSD and combatives generally don't go down well. I hope you stick around though as your knowledge in IT and Cyber crime could be an asset.
