Effect of the Wing Chun Punch with Xingyi principles

    From the Youtube page

    "

    * [ Please read comments ] Pardon for the sound, this is NOT meant to be an instructional video. It is meant for students of Ursa Major sited in different parts of the world. (This video was taken at the age of 35 under medical conditions. For some who had wrote in on the misconstrual that the subject to look too young for his age, it's the effects of taiji. Taiji youth preservation has been well known. For more information, you may wish to write in. Ursa Major will be glad to share non-combat learnings, esp. if you could help in aggregating the knowledge.) While it may be misconceived that the Wing Chun strike is merely a push - it's plain logic that pushing does not produce a loud impact.

For another demonstrative effect, you may also wish to view:
    {broken link}

There has also been much discussions on the difference of the common boxing and Wing Chun/ Xingyi principles. They are rather repetitive, please view the past comments. Ursa Major does not charge for any lessons, however no instructions will be given as lessons are only taught to students with attested character.

    * The method and stance have been modified with Xingyi principles to adapt to personal injuries. The original Wing Chun uses the goat stance and shoulders locked down.

[Effects of Wing Chun Strike Mechanics Verses Resultant of Common Punch] Just a light demonstration on the different effects of a common punch vs the one from Wing Chun.

Martial arts should not be the means for the ego to exploit and exhibit inordinate power, but for the mind to understand that nature of power to tame that wilful mind and redirect it for the noble use of excelling his spirit in the service of all mankind. - Ursa Major"
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I am not one to start thread but this is just golden. I have never in my life seen such an excellent display of power and control despite personal injuries and extreme Taji Youth Preservation.

How does one obtain Taji Youth Preservation techniques ?

Judging from 0:14 onwards, it relies heavily on doing the robot.

So, there you have it. Wing Chung spreads malaria. Malaria kills a fuck ton of people.

Wing Chung is the best for the street.

This little girl is in serious need of more Chun training (but only from a REAL lineage, obviously)

My roommate does Xingyi...it appears to involve making funny fists and not sparring. I can't say I recommend it.

Wing Chun is effective at pushing bags? That'll be great for if I ever become a post man.

So much wrong with this video.

I don't think Xing Yi involves any candle training.

Chunners prefer to show off their best tricks.

You can learn to hit as hard as you want... Landing that shot in an altercation is another story..

You can land as many chun punches as you want ... Your opponent walking through them and landing a decent shot is another story.
