More regular posters taking a minute to welcome no0bs in their respective intro threads would have a positive effect.
Possibly the difference between the welcome felt if you walk into a bar, where everyone's arguing, and they all say "hey how's it going? cheerfully, and then go back to arguing, and just walking into a bar where everyone's arguing.Comment

From what I see most of the noobs are not jumped on for the sole fact that they are noobs. The noobs that get shit for the most part are asking for it. We do have noobs that stick around they start off by reading the stickies posting in newbie town and get a feel for this place.
