    Allow me to introduce myself

I'm Kenneth, and although I'm young ( 18 ) martial arts have already become a big part of my life. I've trained in TKD for 11 years or so and I've reached the level of Third degree black belt, but by no means do I consider myself anywhere near master level.

A year or so ago I watched a few shows on youtube called human weapon and fight quest which finally opened my mind to the vast world of martial arts other than just TKD, Karate, and BJJ ( the arts everyone seems to practice around here ).

So now I'm pretty much done with TKD, and I've started training in other things. I recently started krav maga, but I will only be able to do it for the summer until I go off to College, which I will then join the school boxing club and Martial arts clubs. Hopefully I can pick it up again some day because I love it's self defense orientation.

So yeah, I look forward to being called out on my bullshit :friends:

Welcome to Bullshido. BTW, I love the screen name. Sounds like some professional wrestler.

Boxing is a great idea for college. Judo is also excellent in a college setting.

Why are boxing and Judo so great for a college setting? I'm curious.

And I wish the college I'm going too had Judo :(. It's fighting oriented clubs ( according to the gym's website ) includes boxing, taekwondo, Martial arts, and fencing.

          It's usually quite cheap.

University clubs are typically cheap, you work out with a peer group that is young and reasonably fit, boxing is harder to find later. Also look into wrestling club, without high school experience you are out of luck on wrestling team but club can be real cool. I would avoid the tkd, you woul end up teaching and plenty of opportunity for tkd after college.

Also if you are athletic why not lacrosse or rugby? Both great sports that will increase fitness and toughness. Often toughness and shape is more important than skill.

Just a wild guess, but you're not planning on majoring in English, are you?
