You can tell by the guy's accent that he is definitely native Korean. TKD WINS AGAIN!

The guy and the crook were in on it together. They just wanted the bottle of wine that he ran out of the store with.

That could've totally been a kung fu kick. TKD can't get ALL the glory. Plus his improvising with the wine bottle like unto Jackie Chan TOTALLY suggests he does kung fu.

Is the TKD street defense thing not a dead horse now? It's the artist not the art. The point of this video shouldn't be that *insert art here* is effective on the street. It should be used to prove that kicking a knife actually works.....at least in that situation

Is the "it's the artist not the art" a dead horse now? Sorry to burst your bubble, but there are arts that train better and are more effective.

To paraphrase (i.e plagarise) George Orwell "All arts are equal...but some are more equal than others"

More like they way they are taught is better or worse. I agree, you go to a typical TKD school it will probably produce less capable fighters than a muay thai school. But in general most arts have very similar moves. Look in the UFC for example, and you have guys using TKD, guys using Muay thai, and guys with karate. There is even a kickboxing shaolin monk now ( go youtube it ). But when you watch them fight, you'd have to actually be a trained martial artist to see the difference in their movements.

This is also a dead horse. We will just disagree.

It is always the art not the artist. Who cares what one person can do with ANY art. Before I put any time or money into an art I want to see what most people get out of it. Especially average people. This is a much better indicator than an individual badass when deciding if I will benefit from the training.
