Sword attacks being relatively infrequent in the States. Where are you from?
Belgium. Where most fights can be solved with beer.

Huh. There is a kamae like that but normally an uke nagashi is done, with a closed fist.

I have a nice, pointless story for you guys.

Some guy that goes to college with me claims to have sparred with a Judoka, and put him in a Musha Dori, then swept his foot, and the Judoka ended up with a broken shoulder.

    Here's how it went:

Him: Man, I TOLD him not to get into a sparring match with me, "ninjetsu" was not made for sparring.

Him: So we started and I put him in a shoulder lock, Musha Dori, if you've ever heard of it. Then I swept his foot and crack man, his shoulder cracked in many different places.

Me: How many? (I'm very childish sometimes)

Him: I don't know. Made some consecutive cracks.

Me: I don't think you can pull that off against a Judoka from my club.

    Him: Oh, yes I can.

He must have dug real real fucking deep into The Well of The Smug when he said that you should have seen the look on his face.

After reading some of this comments and watching a few Booj videos I am really ashamed to admit that I once practiced this nonsense. But in my defense I was 15 at the time and practiced it "only" for three years. Its still time that I could use for someting more useful.
I would also like to say that after 3 years of training i sparred with a friend who trained boxing for only about three months. I actually tried lunge punches, ichimonjis and all that crap. Needles to say I got my ass handed to me. As the fight went on I started to just use my instincts and forget all about Booj. From that moment on I became much more competitive. After that I left Booj and now I sparr at least three times a week.
I got my ribs, and nose broken in first three months of training MMA. I am bleeding and in bruises all the time, but with time I have actually learnt how to fight as was my intention in the first place. Plus I like to sparr, and I dont mind getting punched a few times.
If anyone wants to convince me that Booj works, he will have to give me some solid evidence (like videos of him using it), but that will never happen beacuse of one simple reason. It never worked and never will. I honeslty think that with training basketball or football you will become a better fighter than if you will train Ninjutsu.
    Just my two cents.
