Better question is how don't I. What do you want? Stewed like Menudo, poached, sausages, stuffed?

      How do you cook chitterlings.

The kind of meat that requires inverted commas to be called meat.

And it isn't a piece of meat, its many fragments of 'meat'.

It's part of what working class people here eat:
"Birdseye potato waffles, findus crispy pancakes, and spagetti hoops for your veg."

PS. I had to google Findus and Fray Bentos to find out what they were, does this mean, I'm that most dreaded of things - 'out of touch'?

No. We were born after their decline, I believe.

This is why people think you're an old man.

I suspect the opposite, that you're actually too young (and possibly too middle class) to know what they are. These were normal foods in lower-middle and working class homes in the 70s and 80s. Perhaps they still are in Scotland and the North.

I was born in the mid-70s.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned faggots yet.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm seeing a pattern that isn't there, but people born after about 1985 seem to be a bit taller on average than people my age or older. I half-suspect it's because they had better childhood nutrition than previous generations.

I'm fairly sure that children from middle-class households eat less processed crap than was served up when I was a kid.
