    Amature Boxer in the street?

Well, I know this subject is probably not important, But I was wondering if there are people here that have some experience in street fights. What do you guys think are the chances of a boxer /kick boxer in a street fight? Let's say the guy we are talking about is about average height, fit and well built with about 9 years of armature boxing and kickboxing, (almost zero street experience). I assume this subject was talked to death, but I couldn’t find something that satisfied my curiosity.
Tried to edit the title, couldn't...bare with me English is not my first language

Against who? A non-trained out of shape drunk? against a criminal with a knife? against a pack of pissed frat boys? Football hooligans? The question is to broad. There only thing one could say for certain is that in any situation their chances may be better than someone who is out of shape and doesn't train. However, sometimes having training can work against you, you may allow yourself to get into a situation that you may have avoided if you weren't trained. It's just a silly question altogether. Lurk more, post less.

Well, potentially this is what can happen if you play your cards right, and have enough size.
Though i do know small boxers who've taken on street confrontations against odds and come out on top.

(i was simply going to say "fuc* all" and link the video till i realized this is newbie town)

Well, this whole forum is a bit silly if you take it too seriously don't you think? i was trying to get some information from people that encounter a lot of street violence, and have some knowledge about MA , and see if they have an opinion about some one's chances against the average brawler. Not against Van dam or anything with a weapon.

I know that a boxer or kick boxer in a street fight will be far more likely to end up with a court summons months or years down the line for damaging the assailant with their abilities, than a good grappler.

As long as the boxer knows how to look after his knuckles and understands he doesn't want to clinch, its a huge advantage. Some of the toughest dudes I know have boxing experience.

All of those, in extreme circumstances:

Incidentally, the two guys in the video are good representatives of the average brawler. Perhaps you can determine for yourself how effective boxing would be against them.

yeah, but how would a TAE-BOxer do in a streetfight.
