All this sharing of injuries and scar stories made me go get the classic "Quint vs. Brody" scene from Jaws.

Instead, I found this diamond. Don't watch this eating or drinking, you may choke and die.

Is this a I-have-scars-hooray thread now? Okay- a coyote chewed up my left foot when I was in 5th grade. Still have some pretty decent scars.

Ok, now you're going to have to tell us the story of how you had an encounter with a coyote.

I demand video evidence. Coyotes are known for their lack of grappling skills and reliance on street techniques, biting and scratching mostly.

Coyotes rarely attack alone. They are a pack animal.

No video evidence- video cameras were pretty uncommon back then, and it was in the remote desert, and happened very suddenly and unexpectedly. There's some gnarly photos floating around in some boxes somewhere. Basically, I was camping, minding my own business, when a coyote gets within a few feet of me, looks at me for a few seconds, then starts biting. I had to get a rabies vaccination afterwards, and one of the first shots has to go directly into the largest wound channel.

There is video evidence of my facial scar, though. Around 1 minute in, you'll see a face kick that left a scar on my nose that's still there today:

This right here is my story. I tore my MCL, busted some ribs, and had cancer all within about a year's span. The cancer surgery was the one I got over fastest physically, but it affected me the most of any of them. The details are personal, but my perspective and training have changed dramatically.
I still feel like a pussy sometimes, but way less of a pussy than I was even 2 years ago. I could kick that guy's ass handily.

That's shitty man. Rabies and tetanis shots suck. I haven't had to deal with a rabies shot in a long time, but I had a tetanis shot when I sliced the shit out of my hand on a beer bottle. I've given myself a lot of damage, but most of it is my own dumbass fault. I still have nerve damage in that hand. Did you suffer any permanent damage from your mauling?

It's all you can do, be better than yesterday. Though one day, I intend to beat up Omega. Even if I have to do it when he's 98 and in a nursing home.

Don't wait. The more attempts you make the more chances you'll have to win.

                          Video or it didn't happen.

I'm just one or two steps away from mastering my chi. Then it's Dim Mak time for all you posers.
