Crikey.
It is a good thing that someone posted the correct videos.... I was thinking.. "maybe that type of Karate doesn't require matching the timing of the legs and hands......".
No, they do.

I'm not going to say I don't have a douchebag streak, like everyone, but I think some of you have your panties too much in a twist over this. My perspective on this sort-of thing is basically, "Who cares? What does it have to do with me/my practice?" Much in the same way doing Judo or MT doesn't make you a badass by association, a little girl doing krotty shouldn't threaten your manly pride all that much.
As Gichin Funaskoshi once said, "The ultimate aim of Karate lies not in making strangers on the internet assume you're awesome, but rather making sure you don't grow to become a fatso who talks about martial arts instead of doing them."Last edited by maofas; 4/27/2011 2:30pm, .

That being said, I'm sure that little girl worked very hard for a long time (in the perspective of her 11 years) and deserves recognition for what she has done, but earned black belts in 4 styles AT ONCE at 11 YEARS OLD? And too many people out there think that's what karate is supposed to be like.
I can't tell you how many unhappy parents I have when they realize that their little future superstar is not going to get an 11th degree black belt in a month and a half, and that they are going to be challenged and expected to do things right before they are given the chance to try to advance - which BTW is not guaranteed.
So yeah, as a traditional martial artist and instructor, it does kind of get my panties in a bunch.
