Since I do mostly FMA weapon stuff and Indian club swinging these days, I find rhythm very important, so I've got a few world drums albums on my ipod. I really like the Middle Eastern dambek/dumbek drumming, especially the Turkish and Egyptian stuff.

If you're looking for some serious montage style training music though, look no further than this song:

Not really training music, but Derrick Harriott never gets enough mention:

Also there is a round timer set up in similar fashion with this type of music. Now you know why the Thais are tough, they have to train to this stuff. www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4B99CQV3uY

I recently added Annihilator 'Alice in Hell' to my MP3 player and it kicks ass (if you like 80's thrash metal). Excellent guitar playing with high tempo and plenty of interesting changes -great for running to.

Here's the cheesy video of the title track:

I'm not a huge electronica fan but I find that dub-step/drum'n'bass/rave music gets me to pump out more adrenaline when working out just as well as Slayer or Eluevetie. Most of the other music I listen to like the classical/jazz/reggae/big-band/metal I prefer to just sit down and actually LISTEN to instead of just having it play in the background.

    Anyone else feel this way?

P.S. Bob I <3 you. Slight homo (but just a lil)
