Straight up Muay Thai School On Long Island

Used to Box a lot when I was younger. Still do it here and there but I want to advance my skills. Im looking to get into straight up muay thai, no BJJ, or anything else. I want to take on art and master it, then move on to the next....Any schools in Long Island/ Queens area that offers this?

Ive heard extreme is ok also. There also an MMA gym too..Im looking for straight muay thai. Im from Nassau County. I was also looking into Sitan gym. But its a bit far to travel. I was also looking into a boxing gym. NY Boxing Extreme, not that far from me. Personally ide rather take Muay Thai though. My bad wrong forum didnt know where to post it, new here.

The problem is Muay Thai is so rare around LI.

I trained at Sitan for a month, it's good, probably the best, just so far away.
            http://www.sitangymny.com/

I only know about Extreme through friends that trained there, but they all had the same complaints.

Derek Panza's school is really expensive

Bellmore kickboxing is awesome only it's regular american kickboxing.

I want to try 5 Boro Fighthouse only it's in queens and the parking is horrible. but according to the website he was a MT instructor at Chute Box
            http://www.5boroughfighthouse.com/

There's an American Top Team in Franklin Square, I've yet to check out
            http://nytopteam.com

Oddly enough a lot of these kickboxing places turned into MMA places

I know right! Al them are MMA now. Thats why I might just go with traditional boxing. Thanks for the links bro, I appreciate the work you put in

Sitan is definitely a great outfit, but I have seen them be complete dicks at events. There is definitely some kind of attitude problem there.

True, but in this case I'm talking about the coaches.

I've never heard of NY Boxing Extreme looks similar to fitness through boxing. Most of the boxing gyms I know of are in Suffolk, like Deer Park and Lindenhurst. The best boxing gym in Nassau is supposed to be the Westbury PAL, it's on 346 Post Avenue. This link: http://www.usaboxingmetro.com/clubs.shtml has a bunch of links to boxing gyms. Ray Longo's in Mineola (it's in the link) also does Muay Thai I completely forgot about it.

I asked a friend who owns a school in the city for a MT recommendation on LI. He recommended Extreme MT.

As a side note, no matter where you train on LI, if you want to compete in MT I would recommend crossing the tolls into Jersey. For reasons I could bore you to death about, MT matches on Long Island are crooked as hell.
