Executive Black Belt Training or "How to have a false sense of confidence"

I came across this link after hearing rumors of a certain mega shopping chain enrolling some of their people into a self defense program claiming to give you a black belts in 6 months.

Enjoy this scrumptious steaming pile of pooh.

This is usually a red flag.

What Is Not In The Program

This is going to involve lots of compliant wristlocks, guys doing lunge punches, knife/gun disarms done at 1/4 speed and maybe some of those unblockable 15-hit combos, isn't it?

      Not a bad curriculum
      1. Punching, Kicking & Striking (orange belt)
      2. Escapes / Self-Defense Techniques (green belt)
      3. Fighting from the Ground (blue belt)
      4. Reversals (purple belt)
      5. Take Down Defense (brown belt level 2)
      6. Hand Held Weapon Defense (brown belt level 3)
      7. Force Continuum/Reviewand then………

But obviously not enough time worked on any one single part.

Most executives would probably notice the grammar fail:

Consider for a moment that there is no meme about brown-haired, brown-eyed step children.

just for fun i looked up the one guy listed in AR.

surely you don't a problem with this guy (see vid below) teaching "fighting from the ground" as part of the executive BB program. (sarcasm)

also, his TKD credentials are very impressive and detailed and his videos in that art look pretty good as far as TKD videos go. but all the sudden in 2003 he lists a black belt in Ju-Jitsu without having mentioned it all previously in the very well documented list of training. hmmmm. anyway, nice find.

also, noticed you're in Bentonville, where do you train?

Question how does one exactly train
            1. Fighting from the Ground (blue belt)
            2. Reversals (purple belt)
            3. Take Down Defense (brown belt level 2)

            with no sparring?

This would seem to be the head of the program.

Isn't there some kind of law against charging people $100 for worthless combat training before sending them out to die?

It seems like every gimmick like this is founded by a 5th-7th degree black belt in taekwondo who dabbles in other arts.

                          No.

That's kinda the point of this site.

It was kind of weird that Pl4sma's avatar was the first thing that popped up on that site.
