    World MMA Awards nomination

So, the World MMA Awards just opened up nominations for topics, including "Best MMA journalist." Unlike "Best MMA news Source," last year the journalist category was not inundated with nominations. Now, a few people nominated me just because I'm the best MMA journalist they know. However, with the USCS combined network of contacts and all my personal connections, that might be enough nominations to get me on the list for voting.

In all likelihood, I'll then be brutally crushed by guys with their own TV shows on Versus and ESPN. But, if I get in the running due to a soft field of voter turn out in the nomination process, that would mark quite a few people being directed to my work to figure just who the hell I am. Now, this may sound a bit egotistical, even by my lofty standards of confidence. But that would make me the first regional level reporter to be nominated for this, basically the only award specifically for MMA journalism. And that would be a huge boost to not only me, but all the great organizations in the Mid-Atlantic that I cover and the great people that I work with, including those bullies who got me into this gig in the first place.

    So, go here: http://www.onlineawards.co.uk/fighte...UP.aspx?mode=1

Then register and nominate. Tell your friends, too.

Edit: Oh yeah. Name: Peter Lampasona
    Organization: US Combat Sports

Thanks guys. Also thanks to all the friends from NYCS, MATCS, and wherever else who have given me their votes in case I forgot to thank them in other channels. Gonna be some east coast pride up in this bitch.
