    Have you been keeping any other body-composition-related metrics? Limb circumference, bioimpedance scale measurements, etc.?

      The only things I've been really keeping up with are my weight, waist size and neck size. Not a whole lot but that's how the Navy (and every other branch) calculates bodyfat, so that's all I care about. While not exact, I have noticed my shoulders are bigger and my thighs now have a noticeable amount of definition.

            Well in an interesting twist, I've been what I would call "violently ill" for the past few days. For the first 48 hours I threw up everything I tried to eat and after that I just felt like I had been kicked down a flight of stairs. Apparently being ill has made me swell a little as my stomach measurement went up a little even though I really haven't been eating much of anything. Now I get to see if this really set me back or if it's more of a speed bump than anything.

                  Ha I totally missed that this thread had a new post on it. Yeah I went to the Doc (got insurance now, w00t). Turns out there's a stomach virus spreading like wildfire around the area and I was the latest unlucky bastard to catch it. I'm all better now.

                  Regarding the diet, I'm probably going to have to transition to something with more carbohydrates in the near future. My workouts for foreseeable future are going to be mostly endurance stuff and while this diet works great when I'm working primarily anaerobic stuff, I've taken a noticeable hit in the endurance department.

                    I quit the diet last week. Found out I'm going to be doing some traveling this summer, and realized that there's no way I can follow such a strict diet unless my daily schedule is pretty consistent. Still weigh the same as when I started, but I definitely lost some fat. I know it's kind of anticlimactic, but that's all I've got.

                    For the record though, I am noticeably weaker now that I'm eating normally again. I don't have the same kind of spring in my arms when I'm doing push ups. Maybe my body's still working on making the transition back to having carbs every day, but this is the same way I felt before I started the diet. Wish I could figure out exactly what was making that difference.
