    About to collapse.....

    I'm starting to lose it, I think I'm a victim of overtraining.....I wanted to deny, but I don't know, here are the stats:
    - Judo, Muay Thai, Mix Workout @ Home -

    Judo 3-4x a week @ 2 hour intervals, 1hr ground work/1 hour stand up
    Muay Thai 2 x week @ 1.5 hour intervals, then Judo afterwards
    @Home Workouts - 1.5 Intervals - 2x a week


    Full-Time Job - 40 hrs a week
    Music Practice - 10 - 15 hours a week
    Amount of sleep - 3 - 4 hours
    Number of meals - 1 - 2 meals a day

    Weight: 170 (I was at be @ 175, but I lost a ton of weight since I had a job switch)
    Height: 6'

    Is it okay to miss a day of practice? Mentally I'm just drained to the point of lunacy, I really don't know what else to do...Any advice from more experienced players?

    is this a serious question?
    you're eating 1 to 2 meals a day and sleeping 3-4 hours?
    mental impairment appears to be half your problem.
    To be blunt - yes, obviously to anyone, cut the fuck back. If you're not competing for the olympics and you presumably aren't going to cut back your music practice.
    Drop some of your MA.
    If you want to know the minimum (because if your schedule is like this you probably aren't really interested in really balancing things) - drop two judo sessions and start trying to get more sleep.
    You're not getting enough food either unless you sit down for 3 hours at each of your meals and eat the whole time. So, make time to eat a little more and spread your meals out so it floats your energy level through the day.
    And get more sleep FFS, 3-4 hours is ridiculous. If you actually want to recover properly, you'll be looking for more like 7 hrs. If you want to keep going as you are, you'll probably want a minimum of 6.

      You need to eat some more healthy snacks. You need some more sleep. Even if you function on very little, you should never go below 4 hours on a consistent basis. Try to get a minimum of 6 hours if you can.

      Other than that, you just need to prioritize. Right now, you are probably so shot mentally and physically by the time that you show up to practice that you're probably not getting as much out of it as you should. Cut back. Seriously. 8 hours of mentally sharp, physically strong practice will make you progress further than 12 hours of exhausted zombie practice.

      Trim some of the excess training and or bullshit out of your daily schedule. Devote that to rest/sleep/chill time. I went through phases of training doing about what you do but with not too much trouble due to more sleep, food, and down time. You are shorting yourself pretty badly in these departments.

      If I'm not with it mentally, I get very little out of a practice. It's more difficult to learn, process and retain information and motor skills.

        The fact that you have to ask tells me that you are already suffering mentally.

          Thanks, for all your replies, I am normally one of George Romero's finest when I get to practice, and when I leave, I feel great, and then I fall asleep on the train..Actually now that you guys mention it, I have a little more trouble than usual trouble now in practice with even basic footwork, bag drills, uchi komi, etc, it's like a "wtf" moment....

          To solve this issue, I'll probably get a car, it'll cut my commute to 30 minutes rather than an hour or so....


          I'll trim music and other exercises, and just focus on Judo/MT......As for sleep, I'll aim for midnight as best hope....
